Tablet High On Felt!

The HiLo is quite an interesting concept; it is a 10” OLED Tablet with a wireless felt keyboard. Now the thing about the keyboard is that it’s styled as a jacket to hold the tablet. At the same time it features fused (hot pressed – embedded circuitry) keys on the outside. Naturally, you use the keyboard as desired, however I’m getting a kick out of the casual interaction between the protective jacket and the tablet. It’s just too awesome!

Materials
Keyboard: Felt
Tablet Shell: aluminum and ABS plastic
Size: 280 x 160 x 14 mm
Weight: 1 kg

The Reading Finger

Finger Reader is a fine example of how visually impaired can be more independent in places like a grocery store or shops. The reader is a combination of a finger device and Bluetooth Headset, where the finger-pointer scans products for barcodes and relays the product information to earpiece as audio instructions. Info like product description, price, ingredients, nutrition etc. is easily accessible. I think it will be a good aid!

The Art of Solar Printing

It’s here in incredible concept and I simply love it! The Tanning Printer is a solar powered printer that doesn’t use cartridges. Instead it uses the process of sun-tanning the paper! You got that right sir…sun tan! It seems outlandish right now, but trust me the idea is worth exploring… the design is here, it looks neat and sleek; now let the engineers figure it out!

Why Two? The Part - Tablet and Smart Phone Concept

Do we really need the tablet and the smartphone to be two different entities? If you ask these trio designers their answer is no! The Part is the coexistence of a smartphone and a tablet as one whole device. You can remove the phone for individual use, however together they tango even better!

Energy Saving Dialug Twist-Timer Wall Plugs

dialug-1.jpg

The Dialug looks like a traditional timer for a reason; it actually puts charging computers and gadgets on a timer so that people don’t end up charging their devices for hours on end needlessly. It works very easily as well. Simply place the Dialug counter-clockwise to power devices during regular use and clockwise in order to set a timer for gadgets that need only limited time of power.

Conceived and designed by DanBee Lee, JangSoo Kim, KyoYeon Kim and WooRi Kim, the Dialug is an eco-friendly solution to accidental waste of electricity. Not only does it make users more mindful of their power consumption, it provides a foolproof way to avoid such waste. Unless, of course, people forget to set the timer.
